What is Simile ?

Simile (SIM-uh-lee) is a figure of speech that directly compares two different things, usually by using the words "like" or "as".

Simile sounds a lot like similar. Similes compare similar things, with help from the words like or as.

 For example

1) Her eyes were twinkling like stars.
2) He fights like a lion.
3) She is cut like a rose.
4) She is as light as a feather.
